The short answer
Shed removal with Roa Solution Junk Removal starts at $190 and is priced from photos. The shed's size and material, what's stored inside, what it sits on, and the path from the backyard to the truck set the price. We break the shed down, haul it away and clean up the spot, and we never give a guaranteed total over the phone.

What sets the price of shed removal
A shed is part teardown and part haul-away. Both show up in the price.
Breaking the shed down is what keeps the truck space down. Walls and roof panels stack flat instead of riding in the truck as a box of air.
| Factor | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Size | A small resin storage box is a different job from a large wood shed. |
| Material | Wood, metal and plastic come apart differently and weigh differently. |
| What's inside | Contents get hauled too, and they can be the bigger part of the load. |
| What it sits on | Concrete slabs and foundations: send photos so we can tell you what's possible. |
| The path out | Side yards, gates, steps and slopes between the shed and the street. |
| Parking | How far the truck and trailer park from the backyard. |

Clear out what we can't take
Sheds are where people keep paint, pool chemicals and propane tanks. We don't handle hazardous waste: paint, chemicals, solvents, asbestos, medical waste or propane tanks. Set those aside for your county's household hazardous waste program.
Everything else inside can go: tools, bikes, old furniture, boxes. Tell us when you send photos and we'll include it in the price.

Will the city take a shed?
Not in one piece, and usually not in pieces either. A shed taken apart is a pile of lumber, metal or panels, and several city programs list construction material as something they won't collect.
Pasadena's list does accept bundled wood up to 3 feet and fence material, so if you have a small wood shed, the time and the tools, ask the city before you plan on it.
- Pasadena's bulky pickup excludes construction materials.
- Glendale's excludes construction materials and lumber.
- Torrance's Large Item Pick Up excludes construction debris, including wood.
- Whittier's program excludes loose building material and lumber.

What to send in your photos
Here's what gets you a close estimate on a shed.
Text them to (562) 219-9266. We text back an estimate. Your quote covers what's in your photos; if more items are added on pickup day, the price is adjusted for them.
- The whole shed from two sides, with something for scale
- The inside, with the door open
- The floor and what the shed sits on: wood, pavers, dirt or a slab
- The path to the street, including gates and side yards
- Where the truck and trailer can park
- Your city
After the shed is gone
We clean up the spot before we leave. What stays is whatever the shed sat on.
If you want a slab gone too, send photos. Concrete is heavy, so it's priced by weight as well as space, and slabs and foundations are a send-photos-first job.
If you'd rather take the shed down yourself and only need the pieces hauled, that's less labor. Our how-to guide walks through it.
