The short answer
Small demolition with Roa Solution Junk Removal starts at $190, and every demolition job gets an estimate first, from photos or on site. We do small, non-structural tear-outs like playhouses, old kitchens, decks and fencing. The size of the job, the materials, their weight and the labor set the price, and the debris haul-away and cleanup are part of it.

What we tear out, and what we don't
We do small, non-structural jobs: playhouses and clubhouses, kitchen cabinets and counters, decks and patio covers, interior tear-outs and fencing.
Structural walls and anything needing a permit: ask first. Utilities must be shut off before we start.
What sets the price
Demolition is priced after an estimate, based on the size of the job, materials, weight and labor.
| Factor | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Size | A kids' clubhouse is a smaller job than a full deck. |
| Materials | Wood, cabinets and fencing are bulky. Tile, plaster and countertops are heavy. |
| Weight | Heavy debris is priced by weight as well as space. |
| Tear-out labor | Cutting, prying and breaking down takes crew time. |
| Utilities | Water, gas and power to the area must be off before we start. |
| Access | A backyard behind a gate takes longer than a spot by the driveway. |
| Cleanup | We clean up the area we worked in before we leave. |

Permits and debris rules
In Pasadena, all demolitions fall under the city's construction and demolition rule: permitted projects must divert at least 75% of the waste, tracked in Green Halo under Municipal Code Chapter 8.62. Statewide, CALGreen Section 4.408 sets a 65% minimum for residential projects.
We don't file diversion reports or Green Halo entries for you. If your job needs a permit or documented diversion, sort that out with the city or your contractor before you book.

Ways to keep the price down
Most of a demolition price is labor and weight. A few things bring it down.
- Empty the structure first. A clubhouse full of toys or a deck box full of tools is more to haul.
- Have utilities shut off before the day, so the crew can start right away.
- Clear the path from the work area to the street.
- Add the rest of the backyard junk to the same trip. Each job starts at $190, so one visit beats two.
- Set aside anything you want to keep, like lumber, pavers or fixtures, and tell us.
Demolition or just a haul-away?
If you or your contractor already tore it out, it's a debris haul, not demolition. That's less labor than the same job with the tear-out, and it's priced that way.
If the structure is a shed, we break it down and haul it as a shed removal.
