Why text photos instead of booking a window?

Photos let Isaiah price the job and plan it in one step. He can see how much truck space it needs, whether there are stairs, and whether it's a two-person carry. That's what makes a same-day pickup possible: no separate estimate visit, no back and forth.

Your quote covers what's in your photos. If you add more items on pickup day, the price is adjusted for them. So put everything in the photos, even the small stuff.

What should I send in my text?

The more complete the text, the faster you get a price. Include:

  • A wide photo of everything that's going.
  • Close photos of big or heavy items like a sofa, fridge, piano or hot tub.
  • Where it is: garage, backyard, upstairs, storage unit, office.
  • Your city or ZIP code.
  • When you want it gone: today, tomorrow morning, after 5 p.m.

Is same-day better than the city's free bulky pickup?

Not always. City bulky pickups are free, and if your items are on the accepted list and you can wait, they're a good deal. Most need you to book a day or more ahead and set items at the curb.

Same-day makes sense when you're on a deadline: a move-out, a closing, a tenant turnover, or a pile that has to go before the weekend. It also makes sense when the items are inside the house, or when they're things the city won't take, like construction debris.

Lots of people mix the two. They book the free city pickup for a couch or an old washer, and call a hauler for the rest. Pricing starts at $250, and first-time customers get $50 off.
