The short answer
Couch removal with Roa Solution Junk Removal starts at $190, and the crew carries it out from wherever it sits. A loveseat from a ground-floor room is a smaller job than a sectional from an upstairs apartment, so size, the carry and parking set the price. Text a photo for an estimate. If you can get it to the curb and wait, your city's bulky pickup may be free.

What sets the price
A single couch from a ground-floor room costs less than a sectional from upstairs. Truck space, weight and the carry set the price.
| Factor | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Size | Loveseat, sofa, sleeper or a sectional in several pieces. |
| Sleepers and recliners | Metal frames and mechanisms add weight. |
| Breaking it down | Sectionals split into pieces and some frames come apart, so they take less truck space. |
| Stairs and doorways | Tell us about stairs and tight doorways so we plan the carry. |
| Parking | Driveway or street, and how far it is from the door. |
| Other furniture | Coffee tables, chairs and rugs in the same trip. |

When the free city pickup beats paying
If you can get the couch to the curb and wait for a date, your city's program may be free or cheap.
The catch: the couch has to get to the curb, and you wait for a date. If it's upstairs, you need it gone before a delivery, or you're out of free pickups, that's when a hauler makes sense.
- City of Los Angeles: unlimited free curbside bulky pickup for homes on city trash service, booked through MyLA311.
- Pasadena: single-family homes get two free bulky pickups a year by appointment.
- Laguna Beach: four pickups a year, with extra pickups at $31.22 each on its FY 2024-25 rate sheet.
- Tustin: four pickups a year; the fifth and later are $35.99 each, on rates effective July 1, 2025.
- Size limits: Rosemead caps each item at 50 pounds and 4 x 4 x 6 feet, and Costa Mesa at 8 x 4 feet and 150 pounds, so a big sectional may not qualify.

What to send in your photos
One photo of the couch and one of the way out is usually enough.
Text them to (562) 219-9266. We text back an estimate. Your quote covers what's in your photos; if more items are added on pickup day, the price is adjusted for them.
- The couch, with all its pieces if it's a sectional
- Whether it's a sleeper or a recliner
- Stairs, hallways and doorways on the way out
- Where the truck can park
- Anything else going in the same trip
Donate it instead?
If it's clean and in good shape, a charity pickup may take it. Charities set their own condition rules, so check them before you book.
