The short answer
Athens Services, which replaced CalMet Services, picks up bulky items free for Paramount residents. Each pickup is limited to 5 items, and no yearly limit is stated. Book the day before your normal trash day.

Sources disagree: the City's September 2024 flyer lists (562) 259-1239, the former CalMet Services line; Athens Services now serves Paramount at (888) 336-6100. Confirm with Athens Services before you set anything out.

When the city pickup doesn’t fit
The program works when the items are at the curb and can wait for the pickup day. If they're still inside, upstairs or in the backyard, you're over the limit, or you need them gone sooner, we carry them out and haul them away. Pricing starts at $190; see junk removal in Paramount or single-item pickup.
