The short answer
A hoarding cleanout with Roa Solution Junk Removal starts with an estimate, from photos or an on-site visit, because these are larger projects. On the day, the crew clears the home room by room, at a pace that works for the family, sets aside anything you've asked us to keep or look for, and hauls everything else away. Pricing starts at $250 and is set after the estimate.
It starts with a conversation, not a crew
A hoarding cleanout can start with a call or a text from a son, a daughter, a landlord or the person who lives there. Call or text (562) 219-9266. Isaiah, the owner, answers the phone.
You don't need to have it all figured out. Tell us roughly how many rooms, whether the garage or yard is involved, and when you'd like it done. We'll take it from there.
If the person who lives in the home is involved, it helps to include them in the plan. Agree on what stays, what's being looked for and when the work happens before anyone shows up.
The estimate comes first
Hoarding cleanouts are larger projects, so they get an estimate first. You can text photos, or we can come out and look.
Pricing starts at $250. A hoarding cleanout is priced after the estimate, based on volume, weight, access and labor. We never guarantee a final total over the phone.
If photos are hard to take, or you'd rather not share them, ask for an on-site estimate.
The estimate is also when we ask about access. Tell us about stairs, narrow hallways, blocked doors, the garage, the side yard and where the truck can park. In a full home, the path out matters as much as the volume.
Once you have the number, there's no pressure to book that day. Talk it over with the family and text us when you're ready.
Tell us what has to be kept
This is the most important part of the planning. Before the day, tell us anything that must be kept or looked for. Common ones:
Put a short list in writing and give it to whoever is running the day. If something specific is missing, like a ring or a set of papers, tell the crew before they start so they know what to watch for as they work.
- Papers: wills, deeds, bank statements, tax records, mail
- Photos and keepsakes
- Jewelry, cash and keys
- Medications and IDs
- Anything a family member has asked for
How the day goes
We work room by room. That keeps the job organized and gives the family a chance to check each space before we move on.
The crew carries everything out to the truck and trailer. You don't need to bag, box or move anything first. When a room is clear, we clean up the area we worked in.
Bigger homes can take more than one day or more than one load. Ask about timing at the estimate so the family can plan around it.
You can be there for all of it, part of it, or none of it. Some families want to see every room before it's cleared. Others would rather come back when it's done. Either works.
- Arrive and walk through with whoever is in charge
- Confirm what stays and what we're looking for
- Clear one room at a time
- Check in before moving to the next room
- Load, haul away and clean up
After the cleanout
When we leave, the rooms we cleared are empty and the area we worked in is cleaned up. What happens next is up to you: a deep clean, repairs, a sale, a new tenant or moving back in.
We're a junk removal company. We carry it out and haul it away. If the home needs cleaning, repairs or other work after the haul-out, plan for that as a separate step.
If more rooms or the garage need to go later, call or text again. We can pick up where we left off.
How to get started
Call or text (562) 219-9266. Tell us the city, roughly how big the home is, and whether you want to send photos or have us come out for the estimate.
From there, we'll set up the estimate, give you a number, and pick a day that works for the family. We're open 24 hours, 7 days, so you can reach us after work or on a weekend.
Pricing starts at $250, and your first pickup gets $50 off.
Respect is part of the job
A hoarding cleanout is hard on families. It can be hard on the person who lives there even more. We work at a pace that works for the family, and we keep the focus on the job, not on the home.
Reviewers mention it too. One customer who had us clear a large amount of items from their mom's home said the crew were so respectful and understanding.
We'll go room by room at a pace that works for the family. If you need to stop and look through a box, say so.
What we take, and what we don't
We haul the volume: clothes, papers and bags, furniture and mattresses, boxes and storage bins, kitchen contents, and yard and side-yard piles.
Appliances need to be unplugged and disconnected from water and gas before we arrive. If there's heavy material like concrete, dirt or rock in the yard, send photos so it's in the estimate.
We don't handle hazardous waste: paint, chemicals, solvents, asbestos, medical waste or propane tanks. We also don't do biohazard cleanup. If the home needs that, tell us when you call, and plan for that work to be handled before or apart from our haul-out.
Do you need to be there?
Not always. If we have clear access, instructions and payment arranged, we may be able to work without you there. For a hoarding cleanout, though, it helps to have someone on site, at least at the start, to point out what stays.
If no one can be there, a written list of what stays and clear instructions for each room go a long way.
We take cash, check, credit/debit, Zelle, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay, PayPal and Cash App.
